July is the month of our independence as a free nation.
Our forefathers established one nation under God with liberty and justice for all
with the concept that no one would lord over us but we as a nation would be held accountable to God by the Word of God.

(One Nation Under God) Without God’s word as a standard for this nation, what will
we use as a helm to guide this Great nation into the ages to come?

Doing away with instruments that are true and accurate when measuring and establishing starting points and boundaries would lead this nation down a path of destruction and desolation. If the contractor discarded his level, tape rule and square, would you allow him build your house?

If we discarded the atomic clock and depended on little Tommy and his new mouse watch to keep our time, how long do you think our time would remain accurate?
These are two examples of disregarding tools that have been established for the process of building and the keeping of accurate time. This is what can happen in our personal lives if we ignore the boundaries that are necessary to maintain morality.
The things that we allow into our personal lives will spill over into our family, and then our families have influence in our city, our nation and the world.

Our Founding Fathers had an understanding of this concept and as a result of this lived their lives as examples of the power that God’s Word can have when applied through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

It was their dedication to Christ that drove them to perfection in their personal lives. They understood that in order to maintain a lifestyle of morality one must adhere to a set of standards much higher than their own.

If this nation is to remain on the cutting edge of morality, technology, industry, economic growth and everything else that sets this nation apart from the rest of the world, then we as a nation must set our standards above that of mere man and be held accountable to a higher authority.

Pr 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In the Word of God are found principles that apply to individuals as well as nations.
How long will we as citizens of this Great Nation continue to live as if there is no God?
If there is no God, then there are no judgments and no standard of righteousness.
Try telling this to the earth whose tilt of 23.5-degrees on its axis is so exact that as much as a one-degree difference in this tilt, then all life would either freeze or burn up.
How is that for judgment!

If you are reading this and you know or do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I would like to invite you to come and fellowship with us at CCM Live Oak.
